Design inspired by Josef Hoffmann, circa 1910.
20 inches wide by 20 inches length by 23 inches high
Handcrafted one of a kind.
The top of this craftsman style tea table is bookmatched in a clockwise pinwheel. We hand selected the most beautiful Yew wood for this piece. These particular pieces of wood were chosen for their remarkable colour and grain.
In the centre of this naturally harmonious design is a unique insert: Motawi (Dard Hunter rose handmade tile). The legs are reverse tapered with cuffs. The grids making up the iconic design on the sides are solid 2×2 lattice. Also built Yew wood. The finish is hand scraped with 3 coats of oil modified water-borne polyurethane.
This striking combination of Pacific Yew wood and the green Dard Rose tile set into the pinwheel top is Rodney’s favourite As Yew wood ages it develops a rich dark red patina. The dense grain of this local exotic wood indicates how slow growing this tree is.
Beautiful Bird’s eye details accent the reverse tapered legs. The precision lattice brings it all together, for a truly classic look.
